Be like Baron Wolman- Say YES! to this opportunity

Steve Gilligan, one of the four founding co-directors of NFAPE, talks about meeting famed photographer Baron Wolman in 2016. Wolman did a sort of career switch in 1967 and joined this then-unknown newspaper – Rolling Stone…

Wolman said: When an opportunity presents itself, say Yes.

So, as Steve says, ignore whatever is holding you back from entering this show, and say Yes!

We want to see your work.

First time considering entering your art in a show? Watch this!

David Kempton, founding co-director of NFAPE, and also founding co-director of the Newmarket Juried Art Show (NJAS), talks about his personal experience of meeting artists who have shown for their very first time. He talks about the thrill they feel – that gobsmacked “Wow – that’s my work on the wall beside some fabulous artists!”

Thinking of entering your first show? Have a look at the video, get inspired, and be brave – it’s worth it.

(And by the way – it’s not just first timers who feel this thrill!)

Be fearless! Show us what inspires you! Leslie Bertin speaks

Newmarket mixed-media artist Leslie Bertin is one of the founding Co-Directors of NFAPE. In this video interview, she shares some thoughts on how to choose what work to submit to the Newmarket Fine Art Photography Exhibition. Bottom line? Be fearless, show us what inspires you now, and have confidence in yourself and your work. Watch the video – she says it so well!
